Marjorie has always been a living
example of the grace of Jesus Christ since most of us can remember (and longer than some
of us have been around.) Born in Springfield, Ohio, raised in a Christian home by Godly
parents, she left home only long enough to attend Southern Bible College in Texas and to
live a couple of years in Napa Valley, California. She returned to her hometown, where she
was a founding member of Faith Tabernacle and has held numerous offices during the many
years that have gone by. She has been a Sunday School teacher, teaching almost every age
group, including adult ladies, Church Secretary/Treasurer, Song Leader, Youth Leader and
Camp Counselor. She has always had a heart for young people and drove many a carload of
kids to youth camp. If there were young people who could not afford to go, she would see
that their way was paid, even if she had to pay it herself, because she knew the need for
young people to come to know the Lord at the earliest age possible. She has been tireless
and faithful in her commitment to the Lord and to His church. Marjorie has ever been the
Good Samaritan, generous and caring for the needs of others. She has always been one to see
that the Pastor's wife was remembered, no matter who the current Pastor was. She even
visited former Pastors, after they moved on to other fields of labor, sometimes in other
states.
In early 1998 Marjorie was diagnosed with cancer, a radical mastectomy had to be performed, and
she underwent chemotherapy. She had no medical insurance and the bills were mounting with each passing week. Two of her nieces conceived, planned and put
together a Gospel Benefit Sing to help her. Calvary Ministries sponsored the event, and
the following groups donated their time and talents for everyone's enjoyment, Marjorie's
benefit and the glory of the Lord.

UPDATE ON MARJORIE:
June 10, 2002 Marjorie
Frances (Sibole) Gordin went home to be with Jesus. Grandma Sibole had just
passed away a couple of months before. After suffering with cancer, then being
healed, then having a relapse, Marjorie died in her sleep, went to see Jesus and
was reunited with her Mom and Dad, whom she missed so much. She was a shining
Christian example for all and we will all miss her, but we are so glad she is
not suffering now. She has reached the highest goal of all. Heaven is now home
forever.
