Who is Calvary Ministries?

A LITTLE HISTORY
Calvary Ministries was founded in 1994 by Pastor M. Elden Gaines, along with his wife and others in Springfield, Ohio. In January of 1998 the Lord began to deal with Pastor Gaines to evangelize. We have visited many churches, singing when asked to, preaching when called upon. We have visited numerous revivals held by other evangelists, assisting whenever possible and in whatever way we could. We have taken seriously the scriptural admonition that "if we abase ourselves, then God will exalt us in due time." In June of 1998 we began sending out a monthly newsletter that was well received. We were mailing over a 150 copies to 17 states each month. This site was first published in July of 1998 and has had visitations from 97 nations of the world. God has opened many doors. For several years we served as the Ministers of Worship at Full Gospel Temple in Eaton, Ohio. From August, 2003 to February, 2004 we assisted the Senior Pastor at Full Gospel Tabernacle in Springfield, Ohio. Pastor Gaines taught the adult Sunday School class every Sunday morning and shared preaching duties with the Pastor. Sister Vickie played the piano for worship and Two for Calvary, of course, sang at various times.

OUR MISSION
We are seriously committed to holding forth God's Word, boldly and with conviction, power, authority and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. There can be no compromise as we labor in the closing hours of the age. We believe that we are now living in the last times, the time is short and what is to be done for the Lord must be done now, while there is still time. In Zechariah it says that we should pray for rain in the day of the latter rain. We are seeking God to use us in a mighty way to win the lost, call the backslidden back to fellowship, heal the sick and minister to those who are broken-hearted and needing the ministry of the tender mercies and compassion of Jesus Christ.
